We are delighted to confirm that major refurbishment work is due to start from Monday 9th November 2020 at our hospital in Newport to further enhance the services we are able to offer our clients. The rear of the hospital is being developed ready for the installation of a CT Scanner.
During this time, the site will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We will be maintaining our normal service however, given the degree of work taking place, and the covid-19 restrictions still in place, clients may notice an impact on our car park and result in limited parking for a while. It will also undoubtedly be a little loud and dusty at times.
The work is due to complete at the end of December/early January 2021.
We thank you all in advance for bearing with us as this is an exciting development to the hospital.
A CT scan shows a slice, or cross-section of an animal’s body. The image shows bones, organs and soft tissues more clearly than standard x-rays. It can also show a tumour’s shape, size and location. This development means we will be able to do more on site rather than referring our patients elsewhere.
You can follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.
2020 has been a tough year for all of us but the CT scanner will be an exciting addition to the range of services we can offer you.
