What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy, or ‘physio’, is a complementary therapy widely used in the veterinary and human medical industries; it includes physical exercises, massage, manual manipulation, thermotherapy and other techniques. It can aid in the recovery of post-surgical cases, for example fracture repairs or soft-tissue surgery.
Why choose Physiotherapy?
Physio can also aid in routine cases such as helping our older animals to keep as much mobility as possible, this is done by increasing the strength and flexibility of joints, especially those with arthritis who may not be able to walk as comfortably as they used to.
There are many reasons why your pet may benefit from physio, whether it be for a specific condition, enrichment or fitness purposes. That is why Pet Doctors Isle of Wight are conducting market research evaluating the popularity of launching this service ourselves in-house.
Our future goal is to offer our very own physiotherapy clinics in-house, meaning your pet won’t need to be referred outside of the practice. We would also like this service to be available to non-clients, so please don’t hesitate to fill in our interest form if you are registered at another practice but would like to benefit from the service.
The above form has been developed to record your interest in physiotherapy clinics held at Pet Doctors Isle of Wight in the future – the information collected will only be used for this purpose, and you may remain anonymous if you wish.
