We are a small animal practice on the Isle of Wight established in 1980, becoming part of the Pet Doctors group in 2006. Your pets are our priority and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. We provide our own 24-hour emergency care at our RCVS accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital in Newport.
Simon qualified from the vet school at Cambridge University in 1987. He worked in a mixed practice on the edge of Dartmoor then returned to academic life at the Royal Veterinary College, London, for five years where he earned his PhD. When he returned to private practice he became a partner in a multi-vet small animal and equine practice in rural Essex where he worked for over 20 years. But Simon is from the Isle of Wight and always hoped to return at some point. He was therefore very pleased when the opportunity arose to join Pet Doctors in 2015. His wife is also a vet; outside of work they love getting out into the countryside of the island walking their assorted dogs.
